Katie gave me a recipe for porcupine meatballs. Kenny and I liked them but the boys didn't care for them much. You put rice in the meat and then you cover the pan with foil and when it cooks the rice comes out.
Jared helped me make some rice crispy treats the other day. He loves to help me cook...maybe he will grow up and be a chef for me. :-) When we came back in January I made sure I brought marshmallows with us. They always have rice crispy cereal here but never marshmallows.
Jacob enrolled in chess as an after school activity this semester. He showed his daddy the other day how much he knew about the game by beating him.
I found some corn tortillas the other day and they were only about $7 for 8 of them. We brought some of the powder enchilada seasoning back with us so I was able to make enchiladas. They were fabulous!!
This trampoline is on display at Shoprite.....it really makes me want to buy one. I need to see how much they cost here.
Kenny made some hamburger buns a few weeks ago and they turned out really good.
Something in the pet section cost $109.90...can anyone guess what that would be?
A 17 lb of pedigree dog food. This is why I brought 20 lbs of dog food back with me. :-)
Every Sunday at 4pm our time Jacob skypes with our church in Marlow to participate in the Religious Education program. I am so thankful for the ladies there that take the time to email me worksheets and skype us over and over again when our internet doesn't work so that he can be apart of this. He will receive his first communion in June when we go back for summer break. This is something he will always remember.
Sophie is just a little spoiled. I think leaving her with the grandparents for 6 months ruined her. This is what she does while I blow dry my hair. If I do not blow it on her every once in a while she will get up and look at me like what are you thinking lady.
Katie and I found these at the grocery store the other day. They are crackers that are called Tongues of the Cat.
A couple pictures of the boys for the grandparents. Here is Jared being silly one day after school.
I was working on Jared's alphabet with him tonight and a "q" for "quail" came up.
Jared: That's a road picker!! Mom: What is a road picker?
Jared: You know one of those things that runs really fast across the road.
Mom: Those are called road runners.
Jared: Are you sure?
Jacob ready to go to bed and about to tell me his children book story he wrote at school. I will try and download the video of it so you can hear it. This kid has the best imagination in the world. I am not sure what he will do with it when he gets older but I pray he uses it for a good cause. :-) He says he is going to be a book writer.
