Jacob's Assemble & Classroom

Friday the year 3 (2nd grade) classes had the morning assembly at their garden. Each table had two games and two people for each game. Jacob & Matthew did a game where you had to match products with the plants they were made out of. As the different classes came around to each table the children at the table had to tell them about the game and also run the game. All the kids had a lot of fun and they found it funny that they knew more about the plants than kids in year 6 did.

At this table you had to match the seed with the plant.

This table you had to match the real seed with a picture of the seeds and then the plant. Jacob's side was matching products to plants.

Here is his teacher, Mr. Reid, helping them get their game ready to play.

Ready to play...

These two girls sit at Jacob's table. Neeve is the blonde and Sophie is the other one. Neeve is from England and Sophie is from Scotland. Their table was a puzzle table.

At this table you built a plant. That is Colby, Jacob's friend, looking at the camera.

Here is Jacob's class garden.

and Products. How many can you get right?

While I was there I got some pictures of his classroom:

This is when they went to the vegetable farm.

Pictures of Chompy with all the students.

Here is a poster Jacob made. (You can click on the picture to make it bigger.)

This map shows all the different countries everyone in his class is from. There are only 5 from the US and then his teacher is from Canada.

Here is one of Baptista, our driver. Jacob went and asked him if he would come and play his game.
