It's the little things

I know it shouldn't bother me but it's the little things the maid does that do. One of them is the bathroom rugs. I like the big rug in front of the bathtub and every night I put it that way and every day when she cleans the bathroom she puts in in front of the shower. It doesn't fit that way and the other rug over laps it. I am not sure why it bothers me so much but it does. Today when I went to take a shower after boot camp and it was messed up but I didn't change it. I am just going to be thankful I have someone cleaning my bathrooms. I cannot promise I won't change it before the day is over but so far so good...and yes it is still bothering me knowing that it is wrong. I guess it is just one of my little pet peeves. :-)

It's so funny because I will do something thinking she will notice and start doing it that way but it doesn't work. So I have to suck it up and try to communicate with her without talking(which is not always easy). This morning before she came I put water in the iron because she will not do it and the clothes do not get ironed very well. I noticed she was ironing so I went in to see how it was going and she had dumped all the water out of the iron. REALLY!! So I told her to fill it back up and she told me no it didn't help. I told her again to fill it up and she did. Then I showed her how to go really slow and iron a shirt to get all the wrinkles out. The next shirt I was watching and she turned it inside out and when she turned it back there were still wrinkles. I showed her the wrinkles and she said it was all good. I told her it wasn't good and not to turn them inside out just iron them the normal way. The next shirt she did great and I told her good job do them all that way. I left and went back to the kitchen a little later to peek on her and she was just barely ironing them, going really fast. So I went back and told her to go very slow not fast or she would have to do all over again. She slowed down so I hope everything was ironed better this time. Everyone else tells me their maids iron everything...underwear and all. All I ask mine to iron is the boys school uniforms and Kenny's work clothes.

I didn't realize how hard it would be to have a maid. I thought it would be so nice not having to do anything but I think it is more work having one. :-)
