Friday I took a couple of ladies to the fabric store in town and we followed another car full of ladies and her driver decided to take a short cut. Let me tell you about short cuts in Angola, they are never good. They usually take twice as long and are usually on dirt roads through the shack houses. The three of us in our car started getting car sick and it ended up taking us about 2 hours and 30 mins to get there and last time it only took maybe 1 1/2 hours. They did take us in front of the store instead of to the parking lot we had to walk from but traffic was just horrible. One of the ladies that went with me had only been here for about a week and I could see myself in her the entire trip. At one point we were stuck in traffic on a back road and there were so many people around us and she said she was feeling really uncomfortable. Once we were done we had to stop and get gas and that took us about 1 hour. The wait here for everything is crazy. I did get about 3 more fabrics that I really like. Still don't know what I will do with them but I will find something. :-)
This is the road the fabric store is located on. The store is actually to the right of the lady in the yellow shirt with the purple bag.
Zippers or shoe strings anyone?
or undies?
lunch boxes, coffee mugs, dish towels?
The city and Ilha.
More fabric I bought.
