Mussanzo
Yesterday when I went shopping with the lady she took me to a store called Mussanzo. It was not in a part of town that many Americans go but it was still very safe. It was kind of like a dollar store. One thing I got was a power strip. Here at Shoprite we got one that had about 4 plug ins and it cost $11 and they had one that had about 8 plug ins and it only cost $5. Also, the cleaning supplies and stuff are a lot cheaper there. I will never go alone but I would go again if someone else was going. They had pots and pans and dishes and garden stuff....anything you could think of. The funny thing is when you go to check out you go to one desk and they write a ticket then they hand it to the person sitting right beside them at another desk and you pay that person. They give you two receipts and you take it to a desk at the front door and he stamps your receipt and gives you one and he keeps one and then he puts it in a sack for you. I couldn't believe the process and was ready to leave but when I walked about 2 more steps to be outside the door another guy asked for my receipt and checked my bag again. It wasn't just me though they even did it to the locals...they actually made one of them give them her purse when she came into the store. Every store here is like that where they check you before you leave and you usually don't pay the person that rings you up. I could definitely simplify some things here and speed up some lines. :-)
