AWAA
Yesterday morning I went to the Americans Women's Association in Angola meeting and it was very informative. They talked about medical, food, not to hang your clothes to dry outside or a parasite could get in them, safety, and what your first year in Luanda may be like. They said to put a bag of ice cubes in your fridge so when you return from vacation on summer break if it is still not ice cubes then you know you were without power for awhile and you should through out everything in the freezer. They talked about melanoma and the symptoms and the steps to use to try and prevent it. I really enjoyed the meeting a lot. They meet once a month for their meetings and then they do some other things as well. This month they are have a coffee with the US Ambassador's wife and then a tour of the Embassy. I definitely want to go to that. In November they have a US Marine Corps ball. Not sure if I will go to that one or not. I would like to but I will have to find someone to keep the boys.
