Sister Amelia's visit #2

Last Wednesday a group of us went to Sister Amelia's again to take some supplies they needed. As always the kids just melt your heart. We brought suckers again and the kids loved them. Someone tries to go to the school once a week or so to teach the older kids English. Next week Jacob and Jared are out of school on Thursday and Kenny is off work so we are going to go and teach them a song in English.
This is the 3 year olds.

Shimo passing out suckers to the 3 year olds.

This little boy was so cute. He smiled and laughed the entire time we were there.

Katie passing suckers out to the 4 year olds.

Katie was opening a sucker for one of the little girls.

This little boy was in the 2 year old room. When we walked into this room all the kids started crying and would not stop. Katie is trying to give this little boy a sucker to calm him down.

This little boy greeted us at the door in the infant room.

All the little babies.
He loved his sucker.

This little boy was so cute and in the picture below he was filling his diaper.

This is the 5 year olds and one of the ladies taught them the song "Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes" in English. They did very good singing it for us.

They kept wanting me to take their pictures and then look at themselves on my camera.
These are the high school girls that live at the school and they go to high school off the facility. They are taught here cooking, cleaning and other skills. After high school if they decide to continue their education in the religious field they can do that and continue living at the school.

Sister Amelia in the middle. She is recovering from malaria and had just got out of the hospital a few days before our visit. You could tell she still did not feel well but she was not going to miss our visit. She is a 79 years old Franciscan Sister. She has a master degree from Stanford and a Doctorate from another University. She has published two books and continues to write programs for Universities.  She is definitely someone that all these girls should look up to.
