First day of school 2012

The first day of school this year was much different than last year. There was no crying and everyone was very excited to see their friends.

Back in Angola

I finally got everything unpacked in the pantry. I am ready for another 6 months now.

I know I am back in Africa when I see this. She is one talented lady.

My first morning back I was making pancakes for the boys and Nelson decided to clean the windows. I am thankful I don't have to clean them, but not really what I wanted to see while making pancakes. It wouldn't be so bad but he peaks.

Last Saturday after church we went to a Mexican restaurant called Sabor de Texas. Jacob may not look happy but he was. :)

Jared being silly.

They had chips and cheese dip that was awesome. The boys said it was better than at home. We had fajita's and quesadillas and it was all good.

Goodbyes

We said our goodbyes for another 4 months. I don't think it ever gets easy, but at least we know what to expect on the other side now.

Packing to leave for Houston. The inside was completely full so we tied some to the top. We had 1 suitcase, 3 ice chests, 11 tubs, 1 dog, 8 carry ons and a partridge in a pear tree. :-) Kenny was very happy.....NOT!!!!

The best part of the packing was the wall built between the boys seats. We had no fighting for the 7 hour trip to Houston. It was so nice.

It got a little hot on the way to Houston. Everything was ok when it got to Angola.

Sophie had a nice ride to Houston.

Final goodbyes in Houston with Tat and Sally. We hadn't seen them in about 5 years. It was really nice to see them.

Birthdays

We had the boys and Maddie a birthday party at the bowling alley before we left for Africa and everyone had a blast. Kenny said he thought it was the best party so far. I think it was just because he was getting to bowl.

Jared was such a gentleman and carried the girls ball to the ramp and line it up for them every time. They ended up beating him both games too but that's ok he didn't mind. :-)

Sweet Jaxon.

Thanks to mom for getting trick candles they couldn't ever blow them out. :-)
