Last day in Thailand

Today is Saturday and I finally caught up on the blog. Sorry for the delay of pictures of Thailand. Today is our last day here. We slept until about 10am and had breakfast in the hotel then swam in the pool until about 1pm. Then we had lunch at the hotel and came and had a nap. Jared and I are awake now and about to finish our packing while Kenny and Jacob sleep. We leave the hotel in about 2 hours and head for the airport.....it is about an hour drive. Our flight leaves at 10pm tonight and we fly for a little over an hour to Bankok where we have a 3 hour layover. Then we fly to Dubai on a 6 our flight and we have a 5 hour layover there and then an 8 hour flight to Angola. I think we get to Angola at 4pm Sunday evening. I have had fun but I am ready to be home. The boys are out of school for another week when we get back home so they will have plenty of time to relax before going back to school. They said this vacation is a close race to Cape Town in South Africa for the number 1 spot of vacations we have taken.

Love everyone and see you in 2 months!!!!!

Thailand - Day 5

Friday we took the boys to Coral Island so they could go snorkeling again. They swam around for probably 4 hours looking at the fish and coral and finding shells. We found them some underwater cameras and they had a blast taking pictures underwater.

Ready for our first boat ride on a long tail boat.

They had these huge lizards on Coral Island.

Jacob on Coral Island.

Jared on Coral Island.

They always act goofy when I ask to take a picture.

They had a race on the beach.

Finally a good pose.

Kenny relaxing.

Thailand - Day 4

Thursday we kind of took the day off. We played mini-golf with the boys at a Dino Park and it was really fun. I won and Kenny and Jacob was only one point aways from being tied.

After putt putt we took our very first Tuk Tuk ride. The boys loved it.

Once we got to the hotel the boys swam for a few hours in the hotel pool.

Thailand - Day 3

Wednesday we rented a taxi for the day and the driver took us around to see different parts of the Island Phuket.

This statue was at a mall he took us to so the boys could have McDonald's for lunch.

We ate dinner at Hard Rock Wednesday & Thursday night.
He took us to Karon View Point.

Here you can see Patong, Karon and Katon Beach.

After Karon View Point he took us to ride the elephants. Jared and Kenny on their elephant. She was 31 years old and her name was Oh La La.

Jacob and me on our elephant. She was 10 years old and her name was Lemon.

Kenny and Jared. At one point in the ride Jared lost one of his flip flops and his elephant wouldn't pick it up for him so ours picked it up and handed it to our driver.

They had water for them so when they got hot they could spray it on themselves. It was the worst thing in the world because when they sprayed themselves you got soaked.

Jacob riding on the neck of our elephant.

Both of the boys riding on the neck of the elephants.

Jared riding the elephant.

Kenny and Jared's getting water. If you look really close you can see that Jared has his feet up in the seat with him so he doesn't get sprayed.

After riding the elephants we went and seen the Big Buddha. It's made out of granite.

When we got up close and was about to go under the Buddha an Asian family asked if they could take Jared's picture with their little girl about the same age as Jared. They said he was so cute.

After the Big Buddha we went to a Temple to look around.

This is the view from the top of our hotel room.

You can even see the Big Buddha from the top of our hotel.

There was a swimming pool on the top of our hotel and the boys had a blast in it.
