Tis the Season

We put up our Christmas tree that we bought from here and at first it was looking a little scary.

It ended up turning out pretty good.

I made a tree skirt for it.

Our friend Elfy Jake has been visiting us and the boys are so into him this year. They have been talking to him and leaving him notes.

They had a Christmas party at our compound last Friday and Santa road in on an electric scooter. The boys thought it was the coolest thing ever. Jacob said he had a Scottish accent and I quickly said Santa has many helpers all over the world. :-) It's getting harder as they get older to keep Santa alive. :-)

We gave gifts to Santa to pass out to the kids. Santa gave Jared a Monster Drawing book.

Santa told Jacob to make sure he does his homework....Jacob told him he doesn't have homework on Friday nights. :-)

Jacob got a Jokelopedia book. It's he the cutest thing ever?

More Elfy. This idea came from Katie..which I thought was great until the next morning when it backfired. :-)

I painted their noses red while sleeping. Jacob woke up first and came to my room and said Elfy has a note that says to look in the mirror. I asked Jacob if he looked and he said yes and there was nothing on the mirror. I looked at his face and he had wiped all the paint off his nose during the night. You could see a little on his eyebrow and by his nose so I told him something red was on his face to look in the mirror. When he looked in the mirror he said he must of had a nose bleed during the night. (This is when Kenny let me know that my plan backfired.) I told Jacob it didn't look like blood it looked like paint. When Jared woke up he still had the red nose and I told Jacob that he must have smeared his during the night. He said why did Elfy put it only on Jared's nose but all over his face. :-)

The next night he drew silly faces all over us and the Amer's and the boys left him a note and candy cane. My maid came in and seen this and thought it was the boys mess and she put him back where she seen him on Friday and put up all the papers. I had to explain to her that she can not touch it because it has magical powers and will move during the night. She looked at me a little funny and so I told her I moved him around. This morning when she came in and the boys showed her him reading she just looked at me and smiled....I think she gets it now.

Jared's letter that says, "We Love you Elfy and you can come to my birthday Elfy if you can".

Jacob letter says, "This is to Jake Elfy. Thank you for all your hard work watching us. We love you".

Last night he got Jacob's book and read it to his friends. Jared said he is a smart elf to be able to read a chapter book.

I have to find more of these pictures. Every year since the boys were born Kenny has held them up and put the star on the tree or helped them. Here is Jared.

Here is Jacob. I tried to get him a chair but Kenny said no he would hold him. After he picked him up he said this might be the last year!!!

The boys and Sophie...poor Sophie!!
